Keely Heyl

(Train of Thought Props)

Keely Heyl is a Props Manager, Artisan, and Designer. She

holds a Bachelor's in Theatre Design from Cedarville University and

a Masters in Theatre with a focus in Props from Ohio University. As

a props person, she considers herself a "world-builder" whose

responsibility is to bring the world of the production to life.

Keely has worked with companies such as CATCO (Now The

Contemporary of Columbus), Deaf West, Glimmerglass Festival,

Shakespeare & Company, and multiple schools and universities in

Ohio, Virginia, Chicago, and Pennsylvania. Her positions have

ranged from Scenic Designer, Lead Carpenter, Prop Manager, Prop

Artisan, Puppet Designer/Fabricator, and Set Dresser.

She has a passion for creating unique, professional quality

props and designs, paying close attention to detail to make sure the

world of the production comes to life for the performers and the audience.

Whether making up-scale furniture for opera or working on personal

gifts for friends and family, she puts her heart into everything she makes.
